The Beach at Waikiki

Due to high winds, our intentions to do some paddle boarding and surfing didn't work out. The kids decided to make the most of the sand and bury Collin up to his ears. 

 Sydney is giving Collin the final touches on his sand person by adding a couple of nipples. Just glad she didn't add anything else.

 If you look close you will see some Bone Fish, Talapia, and an eel. This was just off of the man-made pier on the east end of Waikiki. We saw more fish in this area than we did diving in Kauai.

 This was taken at a Hula show on the beach. The kids were soaking up the music and the sunset.

 This was the great view of the beach from our room on the 21st floor.  Jay did a great job finding this gem.

The Na-Pali Coast

THE INCREDIBLY BEAUTIFUL NA-PALI COAST

Just as we approached the Na-Pali coast, the sun broke through the clouds so we could see the amazingly green coastline.

WIPEOUT! The Surf Lessons

Before going to take surfing lessons, we went to Aloha Stadium for the great deals at the swap meet. 7 t-shirts for $20, good deal. 

The kids and Jay wanted to take surf lessons, so on our 1st day back off of the ship we scheduled a lesson with Albert.

 All 3 really enjoyed the experience and wanted to do more. However, the wind and surf would not allow them to get back in the water the rest of the trip.

They all did much better than the pictures suggest and were able to get up most of the time!  We'll have to try it again soon.

Natalie and Sydney with HULA Lessons!

Natalie and Sydney tried to immerse themselves in the Hawaiian Culture with some hula dancing and lei making lessons.They even know how to say the name of the state fish, humu humu nuku nuku apua'a.

Kona Diving!

This was the best day of diving ever! Swam with dolphins. Chummed around for 15 minutes with a giant Manta Ray named Chloe. There were huge eels. Saw frog fish.
