Grandma Jo's visit

Joan came to visit us for a week in February and was able to see the kids in some of their activities: a couple of basketball games and a swim meet.

Jay's Birthday

Jay turned 45 on January 1st.  As usual, he didn't want to make a big deal out of it but we had to at least make some cupcakes for him.

Christmas 2011

Merry Christmas, everyone!  We hope you all had as wonderful time celebrating with family and friends as we did.  Here are some highlights from Christmas morning at our house:

 However, the kids didn't forget him and neither did Santa.  He had a couple of presents of his own to unwrap.

Denver in December

We decided to take a last minute trip to Denver right before Christmas to see Jeremy and Katie and finally meet little Mason.  He was already two full months old and was getting to be so much fun.  He is a pretty alert little guy and likes to smile at you and follow you around the room with those big, dark eyes.

Part of the trip was for Collin's Christmas present: tickets to the Broncos vs. Patriots game on December 17.  He has always wanted to go and Jay has so many wonderful memories of going to the games when he was a kid with his family.  Jay was able to get some (relatively) cheap tickets for them since we purchased them here in Utah.  We got them a couple of weeks before the game and just hoped the Bronco's could sustain their winning streak so that it would be worth the trip.

Some of the highlights of the experience for Collin:

NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell and Bronco owner Pat Bowlen (I think).  Jay could say for sure.

Even though the Broncos lost the game, Collin had a great time and we hope will remember the experience for a very long time.
