Universal Orlando

Since we were in Orlando and didn't know when we might be back that way again, we decided that visiting Universal Studios and the Islands of Adventures was a must.  We were only going to be able to spend part of two days there and were worried we wouldn't be able to see it all but it worked out perfectly.  And Harry Potter was even better than imagined!  We loved, loved, LOVED it!
 Seuss Landing...

Entrance to the Wizarding World of Harry Potter and Hogsmeade Village:

Hogwart's Castle: (so cool!)

Sipping a frozen butter beer:  (delicious!)

I always swear I won't go on the rides that get you wet when at amusement parks and every time, my kids convince me that I won't get that wet.  I usually end up the one soaked.

Inside the castle.  There was such cool stuff to look at.  You almost don't mind waiting in line for so long.

Many of these portraits had people talking to each other or the people in line.  It looked just like in the movie.  You expected the stair case to start moving any minute.

One of my favorite characters: the sorting hat.  He talked to us as we passed by.

Hogwarts by night:

Surfing outside Universal Studios on the boardwalk:

At Universal:  the famous Jaw's boat ride was much better than the one in Calif.  It really scared Sydney.

Sydney and Collin were chosen to be part of the "Disasters" movie set.  Jay, since he wasn't taking the pictures, got to be their "agent".  It was so cool to see the whole film come together.  On screen, the Rock was talking to Sydney to see if she was alright.
