Curacao was an interesting island in the Southern Caribbean. Settled by the Dutch in 1499 it has a distinctive feel of being in Europe. The view from the ship with the Bridge shadowing Little Amsterdam.
These are pictures from the caves on other side of the island. One thing to notice the cactus that grow wild on the island. The are not cold like most caves. These caves are very warm and humid. The caves were used by escaped slaves during the slave trade in the 17th and 18th centuries.
These are pictures from Little Amsterdam. The bridge is a floating and can be moved to the side to let ship in and out the port. Little Amsterdam is UNESCO World Heritage Site. Check that one off.
