Sydney's 2nd Up With Kids! Play: Alice in Wonderland

Sydney has loved going to Up With Kids! the past two years. She loves to learn about music, different plays and musicals, how to perform, etc. and she especially loves to be on stage. This year her play/musical production was Alice in Wonderland.

At the beginning, all the kids in her group are random princes/princesses or dukes/duchesses. Here Sydney is the Princess "Jasmine".

Shannon, Logan, Nana and Papa were nice enough to come support Sydney in her play (and even bring her flowers).

One of my favorite scenes with the little kids: They were the toy characters in Andy's room (Toy Story).

Favorite Book Characters

Sydney and Collin insisted on dressing up like one of their favorite book characters for Spirit Day at school. In case you can't figure out who they are: Collin is Huck Finn and Sydney is Junie B. Jones.

Spring Break in Lake Havasu

I can't believe we finally made it to Spring Break! We headed south and spent a few days in Lake Havasu with Joan and Bob. The kids enjoyed celebrating Easter there, swimming in Grandma's pool and checking out all the birds and animals out at Grandpa's.

We tried out some great restaurants while there, too.

We went out to the lake and watched Bob fly his planes. The kids even got to try flying some of them. The kids loved collecting rocks and shells on the beach and playing on the trees by the lake.

Out at Site 6. There was a beautiful sunset the last day we were in town. The desert is so pretty in the evening.

We can't wait to go back to visit!

Sydney's Baptism Day

Sydney turned 8 and was baptized last month. She looks so beautiful and grown up here! I can't believe she is getting so big so quickly.

I really wanted a nice picture of our family and you can't believe how many shots were taken just to get this decent one. I swear, the kids won't pose for a picture any more!

Grandma felt pretty terrible. Her shoulder has been killing her and this was after an attempt to repair it. It didn't work and she will need a complete replacement but she was able to come anyway.

Tickle torture!

Another Test Under His Belt :-)

Collin has finished yet another belt level. The testing is getting to the point where it is difficult enough to see improvement each time he tests and he is having to work harder and harder on the skills. (It is also more interesting to watch now, too.)

Since Jay had to work (yes-on a Saturday), Nana accompanied me and Sydney to the testing at their new Lehi location.

Here, Collin awaits the start of the test. He must not have felt too nervous since he was pretty smiley.
