We woke up today not knowing what we really wanted to do. Paul and Eileen suggested going to Isla Mujeres and looking for enormous seashells. So we took their advice and headed towards Cancun to take the ferry to Isla.
We rented a golf cart for $40 for the day. Collin and Sydney thought we would be golfing and that they could drive a little. Then I informed them that we are still in Mexico and driving conditions are not in their favor.
Jay would love to take a golf cart to work everyday in this weather.

This the southern most part of the island (and the eastern most part of all of Mexico).
It has great scenery. From here you can see the ruin temple of the goddess Ixchel.
This Iguana is accustomed to people. We got very close to him, and then we started remembering what happened at the CrocoCun Zoo. They can bite hard.
The iguana is getting a good look at the kids. You can tell Sydney is not so sure she wants to be that close. Collin wanted to pet him.
Ah, now the fun part: finding all of those shells. Natalie is on quest to find the biggest and best shells this Island has to offer. The kids are excited about the quest as well.

Now she is going to ditch the kids and try to find some by herself going over more dangerous and rocky terrain. In flip flops.
She hasn't found any good ones yet. Her quest is not over since we still a good few hours left.
You can read her mind. "This sucks! They said that there would be all of these large shells." The quest is over. We did find some shells but not the magnificent ones we were expecting.
